Listing Items
Description and titles should not include any contact information and should be as accurate a possible, and indicate any possible faults or defects;
Photos must be of good quality, clear and relevant, with a minimum of 2 photos and a maximum of 4. The uploaded photos must reflect the actual quality, appearance and functionality of the Item, as well as any defects with the Item. Uploading photos found on the Internet and/or photos of a similar item is prohibited;
No electronic devices (computers, phones, hard drives, flash disks, speakers, radios etc.) can be listed on the Application, only accepted items are furniture, kitchen appliances, clothes and shoes;
All items must have a price between RWF 8,000 and RWF 1,000,000;
Sellers can bundle items and a photo of each item must be provided;
Sellers can only list items once, if they wish to update the price or description they can do so by selecting the item and pressing 'Edit';
After adding or editing an Item, Uza will review the description and either accept or reject its publishing on the Listing. Feedback will be provided to users if the Item is rejected.
Selling Items
Buyers have to pay items with mobile money;
If a Seller lists an item and a purchase is successfully made by a Buyer, the Seller must have the right to sell the item and own it. If a purchase is made but the Seller cannot provide the item (unavailability), the Seller will receive a warning. After 3 warnings given, the Seller will be blocked from using the application;
If an item is unavailable or the seller decides not to sell it anymore, the Seller must delete its posting before the item is purchased by a buyer;
Uza is not a party to the Transaction and does not accept any responsibility for the quality and/or safety of any Items. Buyers use Items purchased via the Application at their own risk;
The Seller must provide his/her phone number so that the proceeds of the sales completed on the Application may be transferred to his/her personal phone number. Funds will be transferred to the mobile number provided at registration;
The amount paid by the Buyer will be retained by Uza app until the transaction is completed. The “revenue” given to the Seller is indicated when the Seller lists the Item and choses an initial price.
Dispute Resolution
Any dispute regarding a transaction should be reported to Uza within twenty-four (24) hours from the time the item was delivered to the user. Otherwise, the user waives all claims against Uza in relation to the problem.
If the item is considered damaged or significantly different from the Listing, the Buyer must contact Uza customer service within 1 day after the Item(s)’ delivery, otherwise the Order will be automatically completed. Uza will retain the funds transferred until dispute resolution.
If the Item is significantly not as described, the process is as follows:
The Buyer shall contact Uza customer service immediately;
Uza may ask Buyers to provide evidence to support their claim. After Uza has reviewed the situation and in case Uza considers that the Item/s is/are indeed significantly different from the listing, Uza will ask the Buyer to send the Item/s back to the Seller within 48 hours at the Buyer’s own costs. Once the Seller has received the Item/s back, Uza will cancel the Transaction and ensure reimbursement of the Buyer.
A warning will be issued to the Seller.
If the Item/s is/are lost during delivery, the Buyer should contact Uza’s customer service.
